I broke my no-rules rules many times this week…my goal was to take most of my Imperfect 366 pictures with my Nikon DSLR, but it just didn’t happen this week for some reason. I did need to remember though that iPhone pictures are better than no pictures, right? I decided to just go with it, and hopefully this coming week I’ll get back on the DSLR game. If not, still no sweat. That’s the great thing about a “no rules” photography project!
The cupcake picture is from my Rock Your Happy newsletter from Friday. I tackled the topic of “busy bragging” and saying goodbye to it, for good. February 8th: I’ve never let her do something elaborate for her Valentine’s Day box and she’s always wanted to make an Elephant Valentine’s Box. I’ll admit, I couldn’t resist her idea this year and I think she made the cutest Elephant Valentine’s Box of all time 🙂
February 9th: I forgot to take a pic today! Thankfully the teen agreed to let me post the only picture I actually took today. Thanks, Jacob, for saving the day!
February 10th: It’s been one of those days, things going on with each kids health today…nothing hugely major but random things that pop up causing parents to worry more than they probably should. Speaking of…I called to make an appointment for two of my kids with our pediatrician (whom we love) and the earliest we could get in was on Friday, but she only had day of appointments available. So I have to call back on Friday when they open to try and get one of the appointments. Does that seem strange to anyone else but me?? And why I have a picture of Slim Shady with this caption, I have no idea. He’s being a nut ball today!

February 11th: A full day at a doctors appointment is rewarded with tacos from our all time fave, Taco Republic.
February 12th: I’m a sucker for all the pink and white this time of year!
February 13th: Every time I try to get more pics of Kelly for Imperfect 366 something like this from her attention hogging sisters happens. Hopefully she’ll know she did actually exist in 2016.
February 14th: My favorite Valentine’s tradition. We’ve been serving the kids restaurant style a fancy dinner for the past 10 or so years on Valentine’s Day. It’s so much fun! Aside from Jacob hacking up a lung all night, there was lots of love and laughter! Happy Valentine’s Day!

This would be why I don’t have a cake decorating blog…although this cake recipe is THE BEST chocolate cake! It may not be pretty but it sure is good!
OK I didn’t technically take this picture, but I thought it was a cute one of Kelly and her friend Logan. Logan’s mom sent it to me after they had a sleepover. She has the sweetest friends.
