This Greek Feta Chicken Appetizer served with baked pita chips is an ideal way to celebrate the Digital and Blu-Ray/DVD release of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!
This post is in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
Friends, clear your calendars. Call up your favorite girlfriends. It’s time for a Mamma Mia! Movie Night In! That’s right. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is now available on digital and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD October 23rd! My girls and I have been anticipating this movie release since we saw it opening day in theaters this summer. Ella has been playing the soundtrack non-stop. To say this movie release was well anticipated in our house is an understatement. We are VERY excited!
About Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
If you haven’t seen Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again yet, you’re in for a treat. Fans of the first Mamma Mia! will go back in time and follow Donna as she graduates from college, heads out on her own adventures and meets the 3 men who one eventually becomes Sophie’s father.
When we flash forward to present day, Sophie herself is pregnant and planning adventures of her own. In Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, fans are treated to a reunion of our favorite characters from the first movie and there are some fun special appearances from new characters (hello, Cher!).
The music, the acting, the beautiful scenery…it all makes the newest Mamma Mia release one that’s a must view with girlfriends. Especially since the Blu-Ray/DVD and Digital versions have special sing-a-long features! How fun is that? We can all grab our hair brushes and sing along to Dancing Queen and other great Abba favorites.
Of course, it’s not a Mamma Mia Movie Night In without a Greek inspired appetizer. This Greek Feta Chicken Appetizer is a deconstructed version of our favorite pita fillings. It’s simple enough to be a great appetizer or filling enough to be dinner. Whatever you are in the mood for, this Greek Feta Chicken Appetizer is a must for movie night!
Greek Feta Chicken Appetizer with Baked Pita Chips
This Greek inspired recipe is incredibly simple and easy to adjust to the flavors you crave. For example, if you are serving olive lovers, add Greek Kalamata Olives to the plate. Another adjustment would be to add chopped up cucumbers after you’ve removed the chicken from the oven. Drizzling this Greek Feta Chicken Appetizer with Tzatiziki Sauce would be another way you could change things up.
This recipe is extremely versatile, so make it with your taste buds in mind – add or take away whatever doesn’t make your mouth happy! The Greek Seasoning and Feta Cheese are a must, in my opinion, but changing it up however you’d like is no problem. Get creative and enjoy!
I hope this recipe has inspired you to have your own Mamma Mia Movie Night in. For more inspiration check out the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again trailer below. I bet you can’t watch it without singing along!
Now for the Greek Feta Chicken appetizer recipe! For those feeling extra ambitious, you can also find a recipe for homemade pita bread on my blog here. These can be served as is or drizzled with olive oil and salt and baked until slightly crispy, like pita chips. Enjoy!
