Cooking with kids is fun, right? I mean, aside from the giant sacks of flour dumping on the floor, the turning around and always tripping over someone, constant verbal instructions – repeated numerously – of what to do next, it’s a blast. Really.
Truthfully… it isn’t always fun to cook with kids, but it is such an important skill for them to learn. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the most patient of moms when my kids are in the kitchen with me. Sometimes I just want to be left alone, but then I’ll remember how this one skill will take them through life and I try to chill out.
I’ve recently been given a Babycakes Cupcake Maker and can share with you that this little machine actually does make cooking with kids fun! It’s not something young kids can handle completely on their own, but my older two can certainly whip out a thing of cupcakes using this with no problems.
The Babycakes Cupcake Maker is kind of deceiving because you can do so much more in it than simple cupcakes. Cheesecakes, bite size cream pies, savory wonton or tortilla cups, poached eggs… the possibilities for both sweet and savory treats are endless! From simple to elegant, kid friendly to dinner party worthy, the Babycakes Cupcake Maker is an appliance worth making space for.

What I am most thankful for is the fact that no matter how difficult things can be this past year (snow, ice, heat, earthquake, hurricane, loss of power, freaky snow storms, etc) we have our health, my parents are still with us, my brother is still cognizant of us being around (very difficult situation) , my kids are doing what they want to do in life or working towards it, and we still have our jobs.
