Babycakes Cupcake Maker & Cookbook Giveaway

Cooking with kids is fun, right? I mean, aside from the giant sacks of flour dumping on the floor, the turning around and always tripping over someone, constant verbal instructions – repeated numerously – of what to do next, it’s a blast. Really.

Truthfully… it isn’t always fun to cook with kids, but it is such an important skill for them to learn. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the most patient of moms when my kids are in the kitchen with me. Sometimes I just want to be left alone, but then I’ll remember how this one skill will take them through life and I try to chill out.

I’ve recently been given a Babycakes Cupcake Maker and can share with you that this little machine actually does make cooking with kids fun! It’s not something young kids can handle completely on their own, but my older two can certainly whip out a thing of cupcakes using this with no problems.

The Babycakes Cupcake Maker is kind of deceiving because you can do so much more in it than simple cupcakes. Cheesecakes, bite size cream pies, savory wonton or tortilla cups, poached eggs… the possibilities for both sweet and savory treats are endless! From simple to elegant, kid friendly to dinner party worthy, the Babycakes Cupcake Maker is an appliance worth making space for.

    I am thankful for having such an amazing first 4.5 months of marriage. It’s such a wonderful learning process being married, and I love it!

    2 things that I am thankful for this year are my family and my friends. That sounds cliche but after starting out the year with a difficult loss, ending it with my children and husband couldn’t mean more. And living away from our hometown and family makes me so grateful for good friends.

    I am thankful for my beautiful granddaughter, Kinsley, who just went to see Cake Boss this week. Kinsley has shown and instructed me on how to decorate a cupcake with or without my eyes covered! 🙂

    I am also thankful for Kinsley’s mom, Kimberly, who is our youngest daughter. Kimberly takes the time to let Kinsley really learn how to bake those special cupcakes and breads they make together.     I just saw these the other day at one of the local warehouse stores and was debating about this ….. maybe I will go back and get it now.

    What I am most thankful for is the fact that no matter how difficult things can be this past year (snow, ice, heat, earthquake, hurricane, loss of power, freaky snow storms, etc) we have our health, my parents are still with us, my brother is still cognizant of us being around (very difficult situation) , my kids are doing what they want to do in life or working towards it, and we still have our jobs. Yes, we have a lot to be thankful for this year.
