April 1st – What’s up April! Take a look at the calendar and see what the month brings. Have any room to schedule some fun? Get out of something that you don’t want to do?
(HT) We both are fans of the bullet journal. There are a million YouTube videos to show you how to get started, but these are the ones that inspired me to get started.
April 2nd – Best $10 ever spent. What is something that costs $10 or less that brings you happiness? Share what it is and maybe it will make someone else really happy.
April 3rd – Inbox Zero. It’s that time again! Let’s clean out those inboxes until it’s empty!
Happy Tip (HT) – Sometimes Email Bankruptcy is the only way to feel the freedom of a clean inbox when you are too overwhelmed. I’ve done it and had zero regrets!
April 4th – Organize your wallet/purse. Clutter causes stress and unhappiness, even is it’s just in our purses and wallets.
(HT) Commit to cleaning your purse and wallet out once a week using these strategies.
April 5th – Buy Someone Else Flowers. We’ve bought our selves flowers…now, share the flower power happiness with others!
(HT) Did you know certain flowers have certain meanings? Make sure you’re sending the right message by knowing the language of flowers.
April 6th – Joke. Learn a new one for your back pocket!
(HT) This Joke Bank (with all clean jokes) will have you laughing and in tears!
April 7th – Window Shop (but don’t buy anything).
(HT) Take a stroll through your town and let only your eyes do the shopping. Did you know window shopping is tied to happiness?
April 8th – Learn a new skill. Learn to do something new – a challenging recipe, cake decorating, a new technology, flower arranging, etc.
(HT) This site and this site have fantastic classes on just about every skill you can imagine. Bonus – several of them are free!
April 9th – Art Play. Get out your colored pencils, paints and other art supplies and play!
(HT) Think you aren’t artistic? Google to the rescue! Simply google “How to draw x” with x being whatever you want to draw, and there will most likely be a step by step tutorial.
April 10th – Do a good deed.
Happy Tip (HT) – I love this person’s good deed diary. There are some good, easy to do, ideas on here.
April 11th – Blow bubbles. I always forget how much I love to do this.
(HT) Here is an easy DIY recipe for homemade bubbles. I never buy them, I just make them with this recipe.
April 12th – Try a new fruit or vegetable.
(HT) Try eating something that is in season right now that you haven’t tried before. Maybe a trip to the farmer’s market? Here’s a list of what’s in season right now.
April 13th – Hugs. Give as many hugs as you can today.
(HT) There are many health benefits to hugging. (Who knew?) A 20-second hug makes you release oxytocin which is a natural stress reducer.
April 14th – Eat dessert first. (You don’t have to ask me twice.)
(HT) Head to a bakery that you’ve always wanted to try or an ice cream shop and treat yourself to a delicious, decadent, dessert. Eat it before dinner – just because you can.
April 15th – Donate. Volunteer your time, donate to a cause that means something to you, or actually take the donation pile to be donated.
(HT) I decided to become a bone marrow donor about 8 years ago. It is a simple swab test, and you are put on the registry to be matched with a recipient. I have yet to be matched, but I renew my commitment every year.
April 16th – Spa at home. Give yourself a mani/pedi, a face mask, a sugar scrub. There are so many little spa luxuries you can make yourself to do at home.
(HT) Willow and Sage is a great resource for recipes for masks, scrubs, anything spa related. Often, you have everything you need in your pantry.
April 17th – Surprise! Surprise someone with something special.
Happy Tip (HT) – It’s proven that surprises add vitality to our lives and that humans really need surprises. Here are 50 great (and free) ideas!
April 18th – Snail Mail. Send someone a postcard or note.
(HT) This etsy shop has the cutest postcards!
April 19th – Hydrate. Drink at least 8 glasses of water today.
(HT) Did you know staying hydrated can improve your mood? It’s true! Bonus happiness for having a cute tumbler to drink out of.
April 20th – Make a statement! Wear something bold – a chunky necklace, a bold color, bright lipstick, etc.
April 21st – Buy a plant (and keep it alive).
(HT) Research suggests that indoor plants can boost happiness! Stretch your green thumb and give it a try!
April 22nd – Spring Clean. Deep clean one area of your home.

April 23rd – Fly a kite!
(HT) Some of my favorite memories from growing up and as a mom are when we’ve flown kites. It’s the perfect spring activity! Here are some great kites for beginner kite flyers!
April 24th – Let it go. Write down something that you need to let go of, then tear it up.

April 25th – Celebrate with balloons today! It can be for any reason or occasion.

April 26th – Happy place. Where is your happy place? Find or take a picture of it.
(HT) Did you know that visualizing your happy place can help to reduce pain?
April 27th – Get some fresh air. Make it a point to spend time outside today. Being outdoors can function like a natural medicine.
(HT) How to spend more time outside.
April 28th – Out the window. Take 10 minutes to just look out the window and observe what it around you.
April 29th – Big Breakfast. Make yourself or your family a big breakfast.
(HT) Try a new recipe. Break out of your breakfast rut. Maybe something savory or something sweet?
April 30th – April Happy Check – what made you happy this month?
