The ground is snow covered, but there are signs that spring is coming. Like the saying above, glimpses of spring give me great hope.

This morning I woke up to sun streaming through the windows…I noticed it wasn’t dark out like it has been for the past few months. The days, although slowly, are getting longer. I took Meg out on her morning walk and heard birds chirping in the trees. The huge piles of snow are melting, and the buds on the trees are bravely making an appearance.

Spring is coming!

Harry and David Spring BouquetWhat a treat it was, when the snow was still falling down without what seemed an end in sight, to receive this wooden crate full of colorful mini roses from Harry & David!  It was like a little reminder that spring is just around the corner, delivered straight to me. I was so happy and have continued to smile as the mini roses have bloomed and blossomed, brightening my days. Aren’t they beautiful?

    My friend Marie would love to be surprised by roses! She came home today from a double masectomy and was posting pictures of the flowers she recieved! I’d love to add a more permanent reminder of how much she’s loved!

    Well, of course, *I* would love to receive a mini roses plant, especially one from Harry and David! But if I were to send one as a gift, I would send it to my wonderful cousin, who is moving this month and who could use a burst of sunshine like this.

    These would make my Moms day. Basketball season is one of the craziest in our house and I’m afraid my mom is feeling very lonely. These would brighten her day for sure.

    What gorgeous flowers and your photos are to die for! My grandmother would love these! She and my late grandfather took such pride in the yard, she still does. Just until last year she owned one of those lawnmowers that you have to push and pull yourself! My mom about died when she realized it! Anywho, I think these would cheer my grandmother up! And I know she would take such good care of them and nurture them. Thanks for this chance!!

    Ahhh…I used to send my grandma Harry & David as a special treat. They had coral colored roses, and those were her favorite 🙂 This time I think I’d send them to my stepmom. They’d sure brighten up her office.

    You know, I’m not usually a big rose person, but that plant is BEAUTIFUL! My parents would love it, too. Married for 35 years and my dad still buys my mom flowers at least on a monthly basis! And grows them in the garden for her, too. We’re also a HUGE Harry & David family and have been getting their fruit-of-the-month for about 15 years now!

    My friend of 25 years had a heart attack last Saturday a week ago, while on a fun weekend with her husband in Atlantic City. She died almost instantly. Her husband, and only child are beyond being consoled right now.
    The wife and mother had turned 60 in January.
