What does the term #LifeFull mean to you? For me, it’s all about banning the word busy and embracing the full riches of life. Here are 6 ways to really #LiveFull in 2017 brought to you by Yoplait Greek 100 Protein.
A friend of mine recently told me she has banned the word “busy” from her life. She was tired of people being “sooo busy” all the time, running off their constant list of to-do’s, and complaining about their packed schedule. When I asked her what she uses instead or how she has banned “busy” she said “instead I choose to look at busy as full…my life is so rich and full that I have all these activities and obligations.”
When Yoplait asked me to talk about what #LiveFull means to me, I immediately thought of my friend Mary and her life motto. Of course, in relation to new Yoplait Greek 100 Protein, #LiveFull can also take on a nutritious meaning. The new yogurt has 14-15 grams of protein and 100 calories per serving, it not only helps me feel full but it also helps me power a more satisfying life.
#LiveFull to me means taking control of my schedule and making sure life’s enriching activities are included. That’s one of the reasons I started the “365 Days to Rock Your Happy” movement. I want to #LiveFull by inserting tangible activities into my day that help me to truly #LiveFull.
Here are 6 simple ways we can all ban busy and #LiveFull in 2017:
1. Read – an actual book!
When was the last time you read a book? Reading not only gives you valuable, unplugged, “me time”, it can also be a great way of connecting with other people. I’ve had some of the most amazing conversations with people anytime we discover we have read the same book. People bond over books! Read, to give yourself some downtime, to escape to a different world for a bit and to connect on a deeper level with others.
2. Become passionate about giving back to others
There is no greater way to #LiveFull than to give back to others…and there are so many easy ways to give back! Do like I do and volunteer at a local food kitchen or homeless shelter. Spend time reading to children in a classroom. Visit the elderly. Make a meal for a friend going through a hard time. Open the door for someone with their hands full. Giving back doesn’t have to be time consuming or hard, but it can be incredibly rewarding.
3. Choose to be active
Being an “active” person is definitely a choice. If you take time to take care of your body through exercise, activity and good food choices you will find you have more energy to #LiveFull in other aspects of your life. Go for a walk or run, attend your favorite Zumba class, do Yoga…just get up out of your chair and do something, everyday, that makes you sweat.
4. Power Up
It’s definitely easier to stay active and live full when your body is fed properly. Yoplait’s new Greek 100 Protein is a great tasting way to power up so you can really #LiveFull in other aspects of your life. I hope you’ll give it a try!
5. Make time for hobbies
Hobbies seem to be the first thing to get pushed to the bottom of the to-do list when our lives get too busy, which is silly. Making time to do things you enjoy is so important. Did you use to love painting? Get out your paints and brushes and play! Are you handy with your hands and enjoy refinishing furniture? Start with a small piece and work this hobby back into your life. We all have things we love to do…making time for them is an important key to the #LiveFull lifestyle.
6. Say No…and stick to it
This is one of the most important aspects to living a full life. Learn to say no to things that jam up your schedule with obligations that make you resentful. Sure, we all sometimes have to do things we don’t want to do, but learning the value of saying no and being extremely discerning with your time will unleash so much from within you. Once you control your own schedule and fill it with things that help you to #LiveFull, you’ll be so much happier…but you have to learn to say no first.
I asked my friends what #LiveFull means to them. You can see how my friends #LiveFull in the quick video below. From puppies to drones, living full can take on so many different meanings.

I love every single thing about this, Kristen! You are a wonderful example of living full and actively choosing the things you allow to fill your days. You bless my life!
(Also, 14 grams of protein?! That’s kind of amazing. I just added this yogurt to my grocery list so that I can try it. Thanks!)

Would you mind sharing where you got your “coffee” tshirts please? ?

I got it from Maurice’s (Maurice’s.com). They still had some left earlier in the week but I don’t see them on their site right now. It’s a great shirt!
