A Le Creuset French Oven Giveaway! CLOSED

Before I had my first Le Creuset I just didn’t get it. What was it about these colorful pots that warranted all the attention they received from culinary enthusiasts. Sure, they were beautiful, but there had to be more to these pans then just their good looks.

A couple of years ago, I bought my first Le Creuset. A gorgeous, signature red, Round French Oven. The very first thing I made in my Le Creuset was my my mom’s recipe for Homemade Chicken and Noodles. The pot held and distributed the heat evenly and cleanup was a breeze.

What I’ve learned throughout the years though is Le Creuset cookware is more than just performance.  We are up to four Le Creuset pans now, adding to our collection a little at a time. What I love about my Le Creuset pieces is knowing that although they are a bit to invest in up front, they will last a lifetime. I can picture my daughters as adults, standing over a stove, making my mom’s chicken and noodle recipe in the same Le Creuset I use now. I love to think that no matter what happens, memories of our time together in the kitchen will come flooding back to them each time they pull out one of these special pots to use.

    One year, a boyfriend bought me a Le Creuset French oven for Christmas. That was 14 years ago; now, he’s my husband, and that French oven is my favorite pot by far. With three children, a double-batch of soup would be much easier to make in the Le Creuset 20-quart stock pot! I’d love to add it to my collection!

    If there was one piece of cookware I would get, it would be the 3 1/2 quart braiser. I usually have to use cheaper cuts of meat due to budgeting, and braising is the best way to prepare them. Also, braising brings out so many fantastic flavors in vegetables and meats. But alas, Le Creuset has always been a fantasy in my budgeted living expenses.

    I have the big braiser and I absolutely love it, we use it almost every night, but honestly the piece I’ve always wanted most is this exact same one, the 3.5 qt french oven in yellow. I would never put it away, it would always sit on my stovetop and give my kitchen a nice pop of color.

    I have a small set of Le Creuset cookware that I bought in Tampa Florida – at a Thrift Store and paid $35.00 for the whole set!!!! I wouldn’t use anything else any more!!     The 2 1/4 qt saucier. Perfect multi-use for me. I find that a deeper sauce pan with a lid is my go-to. The handle is great for moving things around and with the cast iron, I can pop it into the oven from the stovetop. Also, the 9″ size is just right for my tiny college apartment kitchen.
