Smoothies… I love them and my kids love them. They truly make serving a nutritious breakfast easy! The only problem is, I tend to lack creativity in the smoothie making department. I often go for an easy strawberry/banana smoothie 99% of the time. No one really complains about it, but why continue to do the same thing over and over when there are so many different smoothie mashups out there? It was high time my world was opened up to the wonderful world of smoothies!

Celestial Seasonings Fresh New Look (Video)

Celestial Seasonings packaging and logo got a makeover! Check out the fresh new look of their tea boxes below.

Do you see that up there? That’s my first ever attempt at a stop motion video. I created it because I wanted to show you how fantastic the new look for Celestial Seasonings packaging is! The video is a little rough (it’s my first one, after all), but hopefully you can tell just by watching those few seconds how fresh and current Celestial Seasonings new logo and tea boxes are!

I am not a huge fan of change… but I love what Celestial Seasonings has done and I am totally good with this change. They recognized it was time to give their company and tea a newer, contemperary look, while keeping with the same simple style. In my opinion, they totally succeeded!…

Summer is the time for outdoor entertaining! A little shopping trip at Tuesday Morning ensured I was stocked up with all the summer essentials!

I don’t know about where you are, but it’s been down right chilly in Kansas! Not the kind of weather we’d expect for the first part of summer break.

That’s not stopping me from enjoying summer cocktails out on the deck though! We may have to bundle up and have the fire pit roaring, but I’m not going to let a little crummy weather steal a second of my summer. …

Cucumber Citrus Infused Water

Especially as the summer months come around, staying hydrated is key to a healthy lifestyle. If you are looking for a way to increase your water intake, like me, take a tip from the spas and make up a batch of Cucumber Citrus Infused Water…made especially cute in a jar glass and pitcher from Tuesday Morning.

One of the biggest challenges for me in this whole weight loss / healthier lifestyle journey is water. I’ve never been a big lover of drinking water…I don’t know what it is but I’ve just never been able to consistently be a water drinker. Oh I know how good water is for me and how essential it is if you are wanting to lose weight, but up until recently it just wasn’t something I could consistently remember to do.

I tried setting “drink your water” reminders on my phone to go off during the day (by the way…there’s an app for that!). I tried having giant glasses filled at every possible place I might be in the house – hoping it’d entice me to chug a cup or two down. I’ve tried buying bottled water, sparkling water, filtered water, warm water, ice cold water and none of those things ever really made me want water….

Let me start by apologizing because I imagine right about now you are singing along with me in your head…

And now that song is going to be stuck in your head all the live long day. Again, I’m sorry. Actually not really, because doesn’t that song make you happy? It makes me feel like I’m back on the Regal Princess Cruise where I enjoyed fun, sun and plenty of frozen Piña Coladas.
