Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts Recipe from dineanddish.net

Do you think you don't like Brussels Sprouts? Think again! This Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts Recipe will change your mind! Three out of four of my kids are really good eaters. Then there's Ella. She is definitely my pickiest eater, by far, of the four. The strange thing is, what she chooses to be picky about is not typical. While many kids can't stand eating chicken on the bone, Ella's absolute favorite food are these chicken legs. She'll eat asparagus, she'll eat salad, and she'll eat brussels sprouts, of all things. What picky kid eats brussels sprouts? It's hard enough to get adults to eat brussels sprouts, let alone kids! Ella is picky about things like the shape of the pasta I'm serving, or the cut of the meat we are having (she loves pork, but refuses to touch pork loin). I'd say she is definitely more strong willed and stubborn than picky when it really comes down to it. … [Continue reading]

Pumpkin Pie Spice Popcorn Recipe

Pumpkin Pie Spiced Popcorn Recipe from dineanddish.net

Pumpkin Pie Spice Popcorn is a quick and easy recipe for all your fall snacking needs! The season turned to fall this week, which means it's officially time to break out the pumpkin pie spice! The blogosphere is usually a little like Michael's and Hobby Lobby... it seems we are often several months ahead of appropriate when it comes to bringing things out for the season. Michaels has even had their Christmas decorations out for a month or two now. Are there really people out there already preparing for Christmas? (Please don't answer that... I don't think I really want to know). I love the holidays, and I absolutely LOVE Christmas, but I'm a "take things one day at a time" kind of gal and also usually a few steps behind. This is why it is only now that I'm sharing my first pumpkin pie spice recipe of the season, after fall has already begun. Don't get me wrong... I've enjoyed my fair share of Pumpkin Spiced Lattes at Starbucks since they came back in August and have maybe even worn my brown fall boots once or twice already, even though it has been in the 80's still here. I love Fall and am so excited for it to be pumpkin season! I hope you are too! … [Continue reading]

Buffalo Pulled Pork Nachos Recipe

Buffalo Pulled Pork Nachos Recipe on dineanddish.net

Pulled Pork takes center stage in this Buffalo Pulled Pork Nachos Recipe! OK before we talk about this recipe, can I get one thing out of the way? I can't think about Nachos without thinking about this joke a man recorded and illustrated after his wife had a little too much wine and told it to him. If you haven't watched it, do it... I crack up every, single time! Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's talk Nachos! So you all know that famous Buffalo Chicken Dip that is the first thing to disappear at book club and football game parties? It's so good, right? Well, I decided that I didn't think it was fair that chicken got to have all the glory in that recipe. How about pork? Why couldn't I use some of that amazing Slow Cooker Pulled Pork (recipe here) I made the other day in the famous Buffalo Chicken Dip? Then, why couldn't I just turn the whole sha-bang into Nachos? Heck yeah!  … [Continue reading]

Superheroes of the Non-Cape Variety

Hallmark Superheroes Plush Dolls

Superheroes come in many different forms... and they don't all wear capes! I'm partnering with Hallmark to chat about everyday superheroes. Superheroes... in Hollywood (or Gotham City) superheroes are typically cape wielding, super power kind of people. They swoop in to save the day, typically in disguise. Most of these Hollywood "superheroes" are just normal, regular, everyday people underneath their superhero facade. Did you know we are all surrounded by superheroes? We are! Just like in comic books, or movies, we have superheroes in our lives as well. Have you ever sat down and thought about who the superheroes in your life are? Maybe they are... … [Continue reading]

Pulled Pork Recipe In the Slow Cooker

Tender Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe from dineanddish.net

A super simple Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe. Watch how we make this pulled pork recipe in our Crockpot once and enjoy several meals in a week from it! Autumn, to me, is almost like the New Year. In fact, my dear friend, Pamela, has told me before that she uses October as a kind of new year... a way to start fresh, set goals and get organized for the coming year. We're both Libras, which means we have October birthdays. Maybe that's why I feel the need to get my rear in gear a bit every autumn? 41 is approaching quickly... I can't leave 40 behind in a state of disaster that it currently is, can I? Lately, I've been knee deep in trying to schedule things... making plans, of sorts, for my life and business. This includes getting back to menu planning. Remember when I used to share a weekly menu plan here on Dine & Dish? Those were the days! I don't know what's happened with my prior organization skills between then and now, but they seem to have flown out the window. … [Continue reading]
