I did something ahead of time for a holiday. Can you believe it? I’m feeling rather on the ball right now.
I signed up to bring treats to Leah’s Valentine’s Day party at her preschool. I don’t usually do that… I typically leave treat bringing up to the more creative, “pinteresting” moms, but I figured preschool kids are pretty easy to impress. Surely, even I, could make something easy that they would love.
When I saw this recipe for Skittles Marshmallow Pops on the Very Culinary blog last week, I knew I found just the treat to bring. Cute, simple, colorful, tasty and fun… everything I wanted in a preschool Valentine’s Day treat all wrapped up in one on a stick recipe.
Aren’t they fantastic?
I’m so pleased with how they turned out I may even get crafty and put them in bags with their own little Valentine’s Day printables. Or not. Really… let’s not get carried away now.

So so cute!!! I need these in my life!!!
I totally thought of you 1) last night when I was making Ella’s Valentine’s Day box and 2) when I was making these today. I’m trying to channel you
I’m sorry.. did you say skittles and marshmallows?! This is amazing!!!
I did indeed…
Thanks, Russell.
This looks so festive and cute, Kristen!
Don’t they? For how easy they were especially, I was thrilled with the results.
This is so cute and would be perfect for Easter too
Ahhh good idea! With the pastel colors they totally would.
Thanks for the mention, Kristen! I love that you pulverized ALL the colors….looks so pretty. I wasn’t ambitious enough for that, But maybe on Thursday. Or not.
Thank you so much for the idea. It’s such a simple treat I know the kids will love.
This is so creative! I love it, Kristen.
These are so fun!!! Heading over to the other blog to look at details on how to make them
I hope you will! They are a lot of fun!
So cute! I love impressive but easy treats like this!
Same here…with easy being the key word!
So stinkin fun!!!! I must try these with my kiddos! And I had to LOL at your comment about the bags and printables… I am so there with you girl!
I wish I was a think ahead of the game and buy bags and do printables kind of mom. I really, really do.
These are so adorable…and I happen to be a skittles lover! Such a fun treat.
Gotta admit this is nothing I had envisioned when I heard marshmallow and Skittles.. They remind me of pixie stick dust, which then makes me wonder if I could pulverize freeze dried fruit. Although you can get Skittles in a lot of flavors, so maybe I’ll just stick with that. I bet all the kids were happy (and high on sugar!)
Amy linked to someone who used jell-o powder. It makes me want to think outside the box and try other things, and freeze dried fruit would totally work, I’d think! Good idea!
Ahh, that last picture. Love these and HER! xo
These are too cute for words! I can’t think of any little one that wouldn’t just adore these. (who am I kidding- I want some too!) PS- I also am horrible at planning ahead for holidays!
What a great idea! These are so cute. I bet they taste good and the kiddies will love them!
What a great idea for marshmallow pops! I know y’all had a blast making these!
I love how simple this is and how gorgeous your photographs are!! xoxo
You’re speaking to my heart with these. I still think grown ups should do Valentines exchanges. I want to make a Valentines box so bad it hurts!
What a cute idea! Love this.
These are the cutest things I’ve ever seen!!! I also love your daughter’s nail polish!
My motto is that there can never be too many marshmallows in life. I’ve never heard of pulverizing Skittles before. Cool! This really makes me want to try this with homemade marshmallows, yum!! Thank you for the link to my marshmallow pops, much appreciated!
