Project 365 2013: Our Life In Photos January 27th – February 2nd

Project 365 2013 January 27th - February 2nd Dine and Dish

One of my favorite Instagram photos from the week.

January 27th Cake Decorating

January 27th: As I mentioned in this post, Kelly is taking a cake decorating class for 4-H. We’be been practicing, practicing, practicing! If you have any helpful tips, please pass them along. She has really taken to it and is having a lot of fun!

Jan 28 Door

January 28th: 70 degrees today, which is amazing for January! This is a typical view from my front door when it’s nice outside… tons of neighbor kids all playing together. I love where we live!

Jan 29 Teapot

January 29th: Sunny and 70 yesterday, cold and rainy today. I spent some time playing around with the light in different parts of my house. This is my favorite picture from my play time.

January 30th: I took one month of being with us, but Meg finally decided the bed we bought her was a pretty comfy place to be. (Little did I know that this was the start of her being a little bit sick… she had a tummy bug for the rest of the week.)

January 31st: She seemed so big to me today. She’s growing up quicker than I’m ready for!

February 1st: We have the sweetest neighbors who invite the neighbor kids over every year to decorate Valentine’s Gingerbread Houses. Even though their own kids are grown and out of the house, they carry on this fun tradition with the rest of us. It’s one of my favorite nights of the year.

Feb2 Windex

February 2nd: Spent pretty much the entire day “Spring Cleaning”. Since the groundhog predicted spring is near, I thought I’d get a head start on the cleaning. Lord knows my house could use it!

Remember you can see outtakes of our week on Instagram, Facebook and Flickr!

  1. great pictures! Can you believe the wacky weather we’ve been having. Such a up and down roller coaster.

    • I know – it has been so nuts. I would much rather have the warm, naturally, but I wonder if that’s why everyone is getting so sick this year. Craziness!

  2. That is so cute that the neighbors have you over even though their own kids are grown!!!! So fun. :-)

  3. Fabulous photos!! I love that you live in such a great neighborhood! :)

  4. Every time I see your Project 365 posts, I’m tempted to start doing this myself. And a few days later, I kick myself for failing to take one photo. ;-)

    • :) I totally know what you mean! I love doing it, but sometimes it takes a lot of effort to remember to take a picture! (Hence, the picture of Windex ;) )

  5. I love that picture of Kelly and her heart! She looks so sweet!

So glad that you are Project 365-ing this year.

  6. Oh, I love all of these pictures especially the one of your daughter piping and the sweet tradition with your neighbors!! Beautiful, as always, Kristen! xoxo

  7. Oh Kristen these are some of my favorite posts of yours! I am so nosy :)

  8. You know I love seeing pictures of your kids… they are so precious! But, if I were being truly honest, there is probably nothing you would take a picture of I wouldnt like! :)

  9. You even make Windex look sexy. You’re the BOSS.

  10. That picture of Leah is just breathtaking, Kristen! I cannot believe how fast she is growing, either. I still remember the IM from you telling me that you were pregnant! I adore this weekly post of yours!

  11. I love all of these photos, Kristen! Especially the one of Leah! Oh my gosh! Heart-stoppingly gorgeous.

  12. Great pictures, as always. LOVE sweet Meg in her bed. And love the neighborhood party. SO sweet!!!

  13. Great photos. I’m doing Project Life this year (have sort of been doing it for years) but I’m finding myself going “work on Project Life or bake some cookies”…it’s always a challenge to make up my mind.

    • Oh I’m doing project life too and love it! Are you using a specific theme for it or making your own?

      • Combo of both. I bought the Clementine Kit over a year ago and use that binder and some of the journal cards…but I find they are a bit limited (especially since they are the older versions of just a simple design and some lines-the newer versions are much cooler) so I use a lot of my own scrapbooking stash, I have a PL kit club subscription from Studio Calico and download some stuff from the internet. I’m actually doing two Project Life binders…the general one and a dinner one…where I photograph my main dinner entree for a year (the journal cards just have the name of the dish and list restaurant or cookbook made from-trying to keep that one simple).
