Chili’s Restaurant and the CoronaRita – Giftcard Giveaway!

If you have been following any of my tweets lately, you have probably noticed that Leah is deep into the terrible two’s and my patience is being fiercely challenged on a daily basis. It’s on days like these where I want to relax and unwind in the evening. I don’t want to cook but I also don’t want to wait in line forever at a restaurant that takes us a long time to drive to. On nights when I want consistent, friendly service in a family friendly atmosphere, we load up the car and head to our neighborhood Chili’s restaurant.

Last week, on a particularly challenging day, I received an email from the folks at Chili’s asking if I’d like to come in and give the new CoronaRita at Chili’s a try. I wondered if they had been reading my recent tweets because that sounded like exactly what I needed. Not only was I tired from the long day and didn’t feel like cooking, it was also very hot out. Dinner out with a refreshing CoronarRta (a blend of Chili’s Cuervo Gold Margarita with a Coronita) sounded like the perfect way to unwind.

I paired my CoronaRita with a Mushroom Cheese Burger and it was a perfect combination. Although I felt a little odd drinking out of the glass / Corona bottle combination, I didn’t mind after awhile. The flavor of the Corona combined with the margarita was fantastic… it was the taste of summer in a glass!

    I am ALL about that mushroom swiss burger with fries! I also love getting their chips and salsa with a side of guacamole ranch dressing for dipping. Always love eating at Chili’s!

    Chili’s burgers are awesome and would go lovely with the CoronaRita, but so would their fajitas…..

    Ate at Chili’s last week. Had the 6 oz. sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes (yum) and broccoli. The broccoli was seasoned just right. Also had the onion strings an jalapenos. Great meal.

    I LOVE the chips and salsa there but I think I would pick the Chicken Caesar Pita for my meal! Yum!

    Here in the UK it’s still a bit chilly outdoors, but I won’t need it too warm before I order one of these, then instruct my local barman how to make me one…

    Any of Chili’s pick three appetizers! The Philly cheese sliders sound great! Don’t forget the Sourhwestern egg rolls! The temperature hit 95 in San Antonio! This is the perfect drink to cool off with!

    I ALWAYS get the quesadilla explosion salad when I go to Chili’s. I think I’ll try something new, but can’t resist the pull of the salad. I think this would go great with a CoronaRita.

    Well, we love Chili’s, especially the bottomless chips and salsa. I’m sure the margarita would go great with that, no matter what else we end up ordering.

    I’d have to order the santa fe salad. Always a favorite of mine. Healthy-ish yet a nice spicy flavor…and perfect for a CoronaMargarita!

    I would get the combination plate of the margarita chicken and the baby back ribs and i cant wait until I get that gift card so I can go order the meal and that fabulous coronarita to go with it!!!! my mouth is already watering!

    I ALWAYS get the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich with fries.. it’s soooo good and would be even better with a CoronaRita. I’ve never had one but now that I know you offer it, I’ll be getting one on my next visit!!

    So funny! I ‘discovered’ what I called beergaritas last summer. Just on a whim, I decided to cut my way too sweet margarita with some beer, and it was a pleasant surprise. After that, the beergarita was a mainstay. After this past Cinco de Mayo, I noticed they’re popping up on menus at restaurants!

    A sirloin steak meal is great with this drink, though I’ve been back on three different occasions and ordered this drink that I enjoy so much, I believe it would be just fine with any meal you serve.
