I have a box of sauvignon blanc that frankly is awful. I’ve been using it for cooking. But I’m pretty sure sprucing it up to make sangria would work well. How could it not?

I love sangria!! Especially with peaches. This looks absolutely lovely, but … that is SO MUCH SUGAR. Has anyone else made this, and can tell me if that extra 1/4 cup is really necessary in addition the the sugar found in the lemonade concentrate and the wine (and of course the natural sugars found in the fruit)? I really love the flavors listed here, but the thought of all that sugar is making my teeth hurt. Any input?
