Many of you know the very generous and talented Amanda from I Am Baker and I Am Mommy. Amanda has become a dear friend over the past year. Even though we have never met in person, we “chat” almost everyday with a group of other wonderful blogging friends. Amanda has provided support, friendship, laughter and love to our gaggle of friends. Now, it is our turn to shower her with some love!
Amanda is expecting a sweet baby boy in the next couple of days – her 4th kiddo! We have come together as a virtual group, since we can’t all meet in person, to throw a baby shower for her. It won’t be the same as getting to pat her little belly or “oooohhhh and ahhhhhh” over tiny little baby diapers and clothes, but hopefully Amanda will feel our hugs and love through the internet waves. We can’t wait to “meet” I Am Baby Boy Baker and hope that you’ll visit the other shower participants to see what everyone is cooking up to welcome him into the world! (Make sure to scroll to the bottom for my contribution to the shower… Special Stuffed Mushrooms!)

- 1/4 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Clean mushrooms thoroughly under warm water.
- Carefully break off stems. Chop stems extremely fine.

- In a separate bowl, add cream cheese, Mozarella cheese, black pepper, onion powder and chili powder. Add chopped garlic and chopped mushroom stems, stirring together until well blended.
- Using a little spoon, fill each mushroom cap with a generous amount of stuffing. Arrange the mushroom caps on prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Serve warm.

Congrats to Amanda!
One of my favorite baby shower treats! These look like perfect bites, Kristen.
Happy Shower, Amanda!
A party isn’t complete without a stuffed mushroom, kinda like a pregnant mushroom. YUM!
Yummy! And I ditto what Amy said! LOL! A pregnant mushroom! LOoove it!
Stuffed mushrooms are the hit of every party and these are lookin’ mighty tasty!
Stuffed mushrooms are always my favorite appetizers at parties. I love the mixture of creamy cream cheese and mozzarella that you used.
OH I would give anything for one of these mushrooms right now!! Noone else in my family likes them, so I never make them…maybe I’ll make some for dinner and they can all sit and watch me eat?
I just know that Amanda loves these!!
WOW!! This recipe is a keeper… I am bookmarking it and saving it for the most special of occasions… like Tuesdays!
Thank you so much for your amazingly sweet and thoughtful kind words… I am SO blessed to call you friend and SO blessed to be inspired by you!!!

Amanda

I love to eat stuffed mushrooms, but have never made them!!! These sound delicious Kristen!
I LOVE stuffed mushrooms…and THESE looks wonderful!
Yay for i am baker baby!!!
I love the addition of the chili powder! Makes me want to experiment with different herbs and spices.
Yum! I love stuffed mushrooms… One of my favorite appetizers! These are perfect for a baby shower, but are also great for a dinner party or any other occasion. Love them
Oh Kristen, I’m so excited about this recipe. I love stuffed mushrooms of any kind, but usually the recipes I find have some sort of seafood in the stuffing. James won’t eat seafood unless it’s a battered and deep fried cod. (I blame the Blackpool – where he grew up.) But he will certainly love these! Especially the addition of chili powder.
Perfect for a shower! Congrats to Amanda!
I could eat stuffed mushrooms as a meal – yours look delicious! Thanks for blessing dear Amanda!!
I love stuffed mushrooms! And I think the entire virtual baby shower was SO sweet!
Bookmarked! This is one of my all time favorite things to eat. I will eat about 20 of these over a meal anyday!
And I love that lead shot!
So fun that you are all doing this for her. Love hopping around seeing what everyone is ‘bringing to the party’
And totally love this recipe… saving it for later.
Wow, after seeing this recipe and all the others, I think you need to have a “real” baby shower !! Or maybe we each need to have one with these awesome recipes!!!
