That Chai drink looks fabulous!!! I think I will submit my minestrone soup recipe. Thanks for the heads up on their contest! I would call my mom, too, if I could, just to hear her re-tell a recipe I’ve already memorized. But sadly, she passed away 2 years ago. You’re so lucky to have your mom to recite recipes to you!

I am so sorry. This really sucks! Especially right before the holidays. I’m sorry for your sister and your family. Divorce, not matter who initiates the final decision, is never easy. And, it really is much like a death. A death of a life together. Sigh.

The china is gorgeous and I’m sorry she broke the set, but I’m glad you were able to salvage part of it. I saved mine (from my first marriage, thinking my daughter might want it some day…)

Thanks for the heads-up about the Viva Diva Cafe contest. I’ve posted one of my favorite recipes (which I plan to make in a couple of weeks). Boy, I sure could use a new KitchenAid mixer! Mine’s 27 years old…
