I love your philosophy on kid-friendly. When the day comes that I have my own to cook for, I am definitely going to treat them that way. Great recipe too!

In our house, what momma cooks for dinner means it's kid-friendly! :)

Love your recipes and love too that your kiddos aren't picky ... sure makes life easier, doesn't it?

I think that's a good strategy. Giving kids too many choices just confuses them.

You are so funny. I do the same thing with my chiluns. People make fun of me more my kids favorite foods being things that involve Pesto or Beschemel sauce or prawns at the ripe old age of two, but I think it is important that they eat what is being served rather than catered to as well, it just makes sense. And unlike you, my kids do STARVE if they don't want to eat dinner! I know it is tasty and healthy, and if they don't want to eat it, they must not be hungry.

I've seen too many of my friends drive a half-hour to the OTHER wal-mart that only has this flavor or that flavor of something that their kids MUST have... or going through night after night of it being a fight because they didn't start it off when they were young and now the kids are used to getting their way with food. I just don't have the time or patience!

Anyway, I reread your ice cream post from last month, and for one thing -did I forget to comment on how HILARIOUS it was? And thanks for the shout-out on the fried ice cream -it's really simple but really, really good! I didn't notice it before!

I am so with you on kid friendly food! My 7 year old daughter, Allison, knows that I don't cook separate for her. She eats most everything we eat and will try anything. We have a two bite rule in our house. You have to try something for two bites. Most times she likes it. She even tried an artichoke heart from my salad on Mother's Day. She didn't like it but she tried it and Daddy didn't!

Oh that looks so good! The kids help plan dinners and with EMT-Dad working 24 hour shifts, a couple of nights a week the kids and I are alone, so I'm waaaayyyy more flexible on those nights.

I feed my kids the same way, the, "You'll eat what we're ALL eating," way... but cater to them more at snack time and such.

(P.S. Your button blogroll turned out lovely. It's gorgeous!)

Looks yummy! I was just complaining about how most dinners are failures around my house. I only serve one meal, but they still seem to be picky. I won't give up on getting them to see past spaghetti, pizza and tacos!
I've just discovered your blog... it's wonderful! Great recipes and ideas! Thanks.

Now that Walt's eating table food, I'm going to be cooking a lot more of your recipes. Luckily, he pretty much eat everything. I hope he stays this way. I already know this cheesy bread will be a huge hit.

I've been lucky to marry a man that is not too picky, and I pray that my kids will be the same!! I think it helps that you don't cater to just what each of them wants - that's what I'm planning on doing! I just hope my kiddos don't end up having some crazy food allergies!!

I'm awaiting a sampling of Pillsbury products today, and if I didn't already have a recipe chosen out to make, I'd be making this tonight!
