After I read your menu planning Monday I too decided to make these Bierocks this week, after all I'm half German. They are so GREAT! I'm not used to working with dough so the first part was a challenge. I will post my step by step process of making bierocks on my blog early next week. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, your bierocks look fantastic...perhaps they were worth the wait & mess?

Really, your photo is very attention grabbing. I love it!

That bathroom thing happens to me, without fail, when I'm in the bookstore. Thirty minutes of free time to browse the cookbook section to my heart's content, and I all the sudden have to go ... NOW.

Never heard of bierocks before, but they look delicious!

I think that I've finally met some one that is as impatient as me in the kitchen! I made moussaka over the weekend and thought that I was going to die before it was finished.

I think that Bierocks are perfect party food...yum!

I love bierocks! Haven't made them since I lived in Germany. I think its time! I am an instant gratification gal myself and have ruined many recipes trying to rush. Or turning the oven up to cook faster only to burn it! Oh well.

Sounds wonderful! Thanks for the links to other German recipes too. I like the idea of trying some German recipes this fall.
And how cool that your mother is blogging! I love that you have that thread running through your family. All of your stories are a special gift to the generations that follow. What a great example you both are!
