I’ll never forget the time I was about 5 or 6 years old, and my aunt took me to IHOP for breakfast. I had on a pretty new outfit I had just received for my birthday when the waitress loss control of a plate of blueberry pancakes which landed all over me. Talk about stains. To this day, I still wince when I see IHOP. Some scars take a looong time to heal. Your cake look superb!

This looks really good. Thanks for sharing it.

My kids, similarly aged, have more than one outfit permanently stained by blueberries. The most disturbing are the stains on the butt–how on earth do they end up sitting on them???!? 😉

I still remember the stains on my couch from my 2 year old neice and her bowl of raspberries. Took me forever to remove those stains!

    The cake look wonderful.

Are you reading my mind AGAIN?! lol… I ran across a recipe eerily similar to this earlier and thought, “Mmm, that sounds good, I’ll have to give it a try.” Low and behold you beat me to it! What’s that they say about great minds thinking alike? This looks delicious!

Oh, I can only imagine how adorable that scene was – minus the stains, of course. 🙂
My mom had the same problem with me when I as little, but the “paint” was blackberries and mulberries. 🙂
Delicious recipe, as usual. One more going to my list… 😉

That cake looks so moist from the picture! Even if your kids exhaust you, those adorable moments must make it worth it 🙂 Too cute!

So nice to see another mommy juggling mommyhood, cooking, and blogging (oh and a DH travelling!). Where do we find the time! This clears the mind and tempts the palette!

Your photos are what attracted me to your blog and this one definitely looks good enough to eat. I love blueberries and coffee cake and to have them together is scrumptious. I can’t wait to try this recipe. Also, just in case anyone is interested, for future blueberry stains (or body paint mishaps), I found this Stain Solutions from The Laundress to work wonders. I got it at Organize.com and love it. I haven’t personally had to remove any blueberry stains, but pretty much everything else. Any chance I get to share this super star, I do. Great blog by the way.

Kristen, I knew I could count on you to have just the recipe I needed to use some of the blueberries we picked today to make a gift I could take with me on the plane!
