Good luck with your idea! I dont have any resources to share, but I have a similar affliction, and always have ideas that I dont follow through with. I'm impressed you are going forward! Yay!

I do think that if you do a search for 'women entrepreneurs' you will find some good resources and tools/tips.

In our house, that's the 'Million Dollar Idea' issue. Mike is famous for it, and even more famous for coming across his idea somewhere down the road. We would be living on Easy St. if he did any follow-through. Good luck to you.

I've had tons of business ideas, and I finally decided to go with one. It's been hard, since I'm starting it up with so very little resources, but hopefully it will all pay off in the end!! It's scary and intimidating sometimes, but it's exciting as well! Good luck with your venture!

Wow... enjoy your burst of inspiration! Don't you love those!

As you move ahead, remember most ideas fail because people don't follow through with them. If your idea and plan is sound, and your finances are in order, plunge ahead and don't give up.

Having no idea what your business idea/plan is... I can only offer you some general advice. Consider whether or not you need to get a patent (if you are creating a new product or substantially changing an old one), a trademark (if you might need one), or seeing if you might need to register your business name at all. Protect your idea legally before sharing it with the masses or potential investors.

Once your have your business plan, financing (check into small business loans and special programs for women and minorities if necessary), and have any necessary trademarks/patents in hand (these can get expensive so plan ahead for them), I also suggest finding someone with expertise in the particular area your idea /plan is in to mentor you. Finding someone who has successfully worked through a project/business of similar proportion would be a wealth of ideas, providing they are willing to share them.

After the i's are dotted and t's are crossed, draw from your commitment to this idea. After all your hard work, hopefully you'll reach the successes you dream of.

Last words of advice - remember to hire a good attorney to protect your business interests. A good attorney and accountant are worth their weight in gold.
